The Huntsville-Madison County Historical Society was formed more than 60 years ago by thoughtful citizens who were concerned about preserving the unique heritage of this area. The richness and diversity of 200 years of local history indeed should be shared and celebrated. Madison County, established in 1808, is older than the State.
